This meeting is earmarked for friends of historical routes in Europe, that connected East and West via Lublin. This includes:

  • VIA REGIA from the Atlantic coast via Erfurt – Lublin – Kiev and Vilnius further eastwards
  • Jagiellonian road Cracow – Lublin – Vilnius (VIA REGIA)
  • Merchant route Wroclaw – Lublin – Lviv (VIA REGIA)
  • St. Jacobs-pilgrim path Lublin – Santiago de Compostela (VIA REGIA)
  • Merchant route Baltic Sea – Black Sea, Gdansk – Lublin – Kilija
  • The route of the Popes and Tsars, Rome – Lublin – Moscow.

Enthusiasts of these routes: travellers, historians and people interested in the touristic reactivation of historical roads have been invited to a comprehensive exchange of experiences. A great deal of the programme is free for local people and tourists.
Traditionally, the kick-off event will take place on July 1st, the anniversary of the establishment of the Lublin Union in 1569 when the Kingdom of Poland and the Grand Duchy of Lithuania founded a common state.
