Call for abstracts: Tasting the Landscape

Firenze – 22 Jul. 2015 | The 53° IFLA World Congress will be held in Turin, Italy, from 20 to 22 April 2016, organized by the Italian Association of Landscape Architecture(AIAPP).

The present Call for Abstracts aims to solicit an exploration of the theme ‘Tasting the Landscape’ from various perspectives focusing on the landscape architecture project as the determinant of change towards achieving the best possible quality of spaces and places.

The Italian Association of Landscape Architecture(AIAPP) are calling for abstracts that show the diversity of approaches and experiences possible at every scale as evidence that professional skill and a deep understanding of environmental, economic and social realities can make all the difference and allow people to truly "taste" their landscapes. TasteScapes has been one of the subject of CIVILSCAPE work over the last years. Our last presentation was given during the conference in Stockholm in May and we hope to see some up-coming European projects in this filed. Our effort to establish a European Cultural Route North Sea Food goes in the same direction. Please support our founding member organisation the Italian Association of Landscape Architecture (AIAPP).

Florenz - 22. Juli 2015 | Der 53. IFLA Weltkongress wird vom 20. bis 22 April 2016 im italienischen Turin stattfinden, organisiert durch den Bund Italienischer Landschaftsarchitekten (AIAPP).

Der vorliegende Aufruf zu Abstracts beabsichtigt eine Untersuchung des Themas “Tasting the Landscape” aus verschiedenen Blickwinkeln anzuregen, den Schwerpunkt auf landschaftsarchitektonische Projekte als bestimmenden Faktor des Wandels zu legen und im Hinblick darauf die beste Qualität von Räumen und Plätzen zu erreichen.

Der Bund Italienischer Landschaftsarchitekten ruft zu Abstracts auf, welche die Vielfalt von Ansätzen und Erfahrungen jeglichen Umfangs als Beleg dafür aufzeigen, dass Fachkompetenz und ein tiefes Verständnis tatsächlicher ökologischer, wirtschaftlicher und sozialer Gegebenheiten den entscheidenden Unterschied ausmacht und den Menschen ermöglicht ihre Landschaften wirklich zu „schmecken“. TasteScape war in den vergangenen Jahren Gegenstand der Arbeit von CIVILSCAPE. Unsere letzte Präsentation fand im Mai auf der Konferenz in Stockholm statt und wir erhoffen uns die Einreichung einiger bevorstehender europäischer Projekte.
